I'm rarely surprised

But Laura surprised me. Since bringing on my pro stylist, Maddie, who has begun styling my clients before their shoots, I haven't been seeing wardrobe until the day-of. Which gave me a little anxiety at the beginning, but now I see it as a creative challenge. Whilst my clients are in hair & makeup, I use this time to dream up backgrounds to pair with each look and how I will light. It's a new found thing I'm learning about myself - I maybe work a little better under pressure.

But back to Laura. Laura had her style session with Maddie and brought in a suitcase full of clothes. She totally felt like she was moving in! But I always always say it's better to have too much than too little.

When Laura arrived at the studio, like most, she had no makeup, her hair was undone and she was dressed in athleisure. This was the first time we'd met and I knew she worked from home most of the time so I didn't really expect anything different. But what a chameleon!! And fun surprise: she's super plugged into the art community in Omaha. Not only did she show up with all the colors, but different styles, as well. Because she is a multi-faceted person and oh what a range of facets. You'll see from her collection. Almost like a different persona with every image she chose.

Watch behind the scenes

Delivering Laura's beautiful new artwork...

laura's words...

"[My experience] was awesome!  So much fun.  But beyond that...Stacy has a vision and incredible attention to detail.  She puts things together most people wouldn't think of and creates an end result that is unique, edgy, and beautiful all at the same time.  She does it in a way that makes you relax and know you are in good hands."

Bonus surprise...

Laura had a birthday recently and was in NYC for it! Hence my work was in Times Square! #careerhighlight

Isn't she beautiful?!
