the power of professional
When you own a small business (especially if you're just beginning) it's kind of an automatic that you have your hands on everything. I'm talking purchasing, accounting, hiring, marketing, cleaning... all the things. You may be going all-in with a big dream but with little experience in what it takes to actually run a successful business (and NO judgement here! we weren't all business majors!) and not to mention low dough. And then over time you realize what your strengths and weaknesses are and start to tweak things slightly -- maybe farm out the tasks that other people are way better at -- to make yourself a happier human. Case in point: Emily of The Good Life Boutique.
Emily owns one of the most successful boutiques Wahoo Nebraska has ever seen. She has a HUGE social media following and, well, regularly posting solid images and short videos are what has led to her success. But what she and her team were finding last year was that the hat of 'photographer' was a nasty, stressful point of pain for them.
"Mostly the lighting - we could NOT figure it out. And I was never ever happy with anything, no matter what new thing we tried to make it better."
a business decision
Enter me! It all started with a Facebook message late on a Saturday night. Emily asked if I'd be interested in shooting stock photos for their clothing every week because they were really struggling. I, of course, said sure! Fast forward 18 months and boom. Not only have their sales increased bucketloads but we've become a pretty tight knit group of friends. We shoot every Tuesday and it's undoubtedly all of our favorite day of the week. We probably have too much fun. Is that a thing?
“Stacy is the photographer we had been searching for - creative, easy going and she makes everything look amazing even when you don’t feel like it. She has elevated our brand and we have seen a huge return on our investment. Out of all the business decisions I made last year, hiring Stacy was one of the best decisions I made.”
