WHAT'S THE END GAME?

Everyone has a different reason for having portraits taken. It could be deeply personal or for your business. Regardless, I shoot with purpose and with the end game in mind. So here's our step-by-step guide to how we achieve amazing results and happy clients every time.

Clothing says so much. What you wear matters.

Example: You're a preschool teacher and you need a new headshot. You want to come across as fun, friendly, and full of energy. Knowing this ahead of time, we'd coach you to bring bold, colorful tops with an open neckline. I'd photograph you most likely in natural light with a light and airy background to evoke the feelings mentioned above. But let's do a deeper dive in what Maddie does during your style session... (which professional styling is included in most of my packages)

Know your buzz words.

Rachel wanted her branding images to communicate professionalism, friendliness, and warmth.

We achieved this by dressing her in conservative outfits and the white V neck top (on the right) portrays openness.

Maddie's process

This woman has been such a game changer for my portrait clients. She takes the guesswork out of what the hell to wear. She's a frugal fox - always encouraging to shop your own closet first. No need to go out and spend a ton of money on a new wardrobe. (save your cash for your prints!)

STEP ONE

Pick 3 words

What do you want to exude?

Sweet? Powerful? Sexy? Artsy?

Just because somebody is a librarian during the day doesn't mean they don't want to look sexy for their photoshoot.

STEP TWO

What's your body type?

What silhouettes will look best for you?

We ensure that you look balanced.

Accessories

How can we reinvent an outfit that you love just by adding accessories or styling a sleeve differently.

This is how we can inject true personality into your images. Almost like you're 'getting into character.' Authentically you, of course, but maybe a side of you that you haven't had a chance to share with the world.
