TATTOO PORTRAIT PREP
A DIY PREP GUIDE
Why is this a big deal?
This is a portrait of you that will be in print forever. You'll want to feel confident and feeling your best. Depending on where your tat is, it's a goal to try to include your face if at all possible....and we'll talk about that before we start shooting.
it's for the mag, but what else?
Think how cool your personal social media profile pic could be...
WHAT to WEAR
something that shows off the tat(s) you want to feature.
Whatever you wear, it should fit you well and be authentically you.
Bring options if you need help deciding.
Skin
- Drink lots of water! Hydrated skin photographs best. Applying lotion or oil is a good idea.
- Be sun smart: sunburns and tanlines are cause to reschedule
- Spray tans: I say just skip it if you're not accustomed to them
Make Up
Ladies - if you plan to do your own make up, here's some do's and don'ts for you...
DO
- full coverage foundation
- fill in your brows! They 100% frame your face
- a heavier eye than your day-to-day
- consider false lashes - they make a huge difference
DON'T (pretty please)
- apply contouring or bronzer (on camera it can make your face look dirty)
- apply any products that shimmer
Rest
No late-night ragers the week-of. Your body indicates stress first in your face so get your beauty sleep.
WHAT to BRING
- Your freshly landscaped body
- your clothing options if you need help deciding
YOUR EXPERIENCE
I. Game Plan
I shoot with the end in mind, so we'll have a chat about your specific tattoo and how private you want to be about it.
II. photoshoot
You'll be fully directed every step of the way to look authentically you, showing off your tat(s).
III. Same day image selection
You're busy! I'm busy! That's why a special time is designated at the end of your shoot to make your selection. One image will be selected to be printed in RP. If you wish to purchase, it's entirely up to you. Images are $350 each.
